Led by Mr Zairai Safi, a passionate mentor who has recently personally guided over 60 ADIs to full qualification, we blend time-tested, hands-on training with modern insights.
Our mission is to train instructors who don’t just teach to the test but inspire safe, skilled drivers for life. Zairai Safi
ZED’s Chief ADI Trainer
Born in 1975 in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, Mr Zairai Safi relocated to the United Kingdom in the year 2000. His inspiring journey in the world of driving education began in 2004, when he started working as a bus driver in Central London. With a deep passion for driving and road safety, Mr Safi quickly developed an interest in coaching others. His dedication and natural leadership skills led to a promotion, soon he began covering diversion routes and training newly hired bus drivers.
In 2010, a life-changing experience inspired Mr Safi to pursue a new career path as a driving instructor. His progress was swift: he qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) shortly after beginning his training as a Potential Driving Instructor (PDI). However, the road wasn’t always smooth, his early years involved being stuck in a contract with a large national driving school before successfully transitioning to independent instruction.
Over more than a decade, Mr Safi has worked under several franchise systems and built a reputation as a reliable and effective driving instructor. Hundreds of students have learnt to drive safely and cleared their practical driving tests on their first attempt in London and Cambridge. Mr Safi is currently a part of the team at Cambridge Driving Academy where he offers fast-track VIP driving lessons. Notably, every CDA driving instructor was trained and mentored by Mr Zairai Safi and qualified as an ADI under his expert guidance. Within the last five years Mr Safi has helped more than 50 PDIs qualify as full ADIs through his expert coaching and guidance.
Driven by a passion to improve training quality, Mr Safi is focused on keeping the old-school, hands-on teaching method alive while using modern tools, thus giving aspiring driving instructors a real, practical way to succeed in today’s fast-changing world.
