Big changes are coming to the way driving tests are booked in the UK

From spring 2026, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is introducing new rules to make the booking system fairer and reduce long waiting times.

Only learners can book and manage their test
Instructors will no longer be able to book or change practical driving tests on your behalf. You’ll need to do it yourself through GOV.UK.
